The Everything Open 2027 Call for Sessions is now open. If you have something you would like to speak about, please submit a proposal today! Each accepted session will receive one Professional level ticket to attend the conference.
What topics are you looking for?
As usual the conference will have multiple streams of presentations catering for a wide range of interest areas. We are looking for talks and tutorials on any topic related to Linux, open source software, open hardware, open data, open science, open AI, and much more.
You can also submit a proposal for a session at one of our Specialist Tracks. These bring together a curated set of presentations on a topic area in a single room for a day during Everything Open.
- Kernel Development - Covering the development of open source kernels (Linux and others): hardware enablement, project updates, roadmaps, processes, infrastructure, sustainability, and more.
- Operations and Security in Practice - Covering the latest technologies, tools, best and emerging practices, and cybersecurity realities for Linux and open technology operations.
- Opening the Public Sector - Covering how the government and public sector are creating, sharing, using, or supporting open data and open technologies.
What types of presentations?
In keeping with the conference’s aim to be inclusive to all community members, presentations can be aimed at any level, ranging from technical deep-dives through to beginner and intermediate level for those who are newer to the subject.
Across the conference we are looking for both talks and tutorials. Standard talks will be 45 minutes long on a single topic presented in lecture format, and there is also an option to present a short talks of 25 minutes duration. Tutorials are interactive and hands-on in nature, presented in classroom format. These will go for 90 minutes, allowing attendees to gain a deep understanding of the topic as they work through the prepared content.
